This morning I was on KPRC-TV in Houston talking about wines to serve at weddings and other special occasions, and I want to share that information with all of you.
For serving wine throughout a wedding reception, I recommend Bartenura Moscato or Fetzer Gewurztraminer. For a mimosa bar, I selected Segura Viudas Brut Cava from Spain and LaMarca Prosecco. You could also offer liqueurs like Chambord and St. Germain Elderflower for mixing.
For toasting, a sparkling wine made just like Champagne but not from the Champagne region of France can be a more economical choice, such as J Cuvée from Sonoma California or Lucien Albrecht Cremant from Alsace in France. But if you really want to splurge, I especially enjoy Billecart Salmon Champagne.
