5 Wines to Enjoy from Anthony Biagi at Wine4.Me/blog

Last month my husband and I attended a winemakers dinner with Anthony Biagi of Plumpjack and CADE Wineries at Jasper’s in The Woodlands, (near Houston, Texas, y’all). Tony was kind enough to meet with me for a few moments before the dinner.

In the coming days I hope to share more about what we discussed, as well as more about the wines we enjoyed at the dinner.

In the meantime, Tony is sharing 5 wines to enjoy.

Anthony’s Top 5 Wines to Enjoy

One white wine under $20 and widely available in the US:

  • Honig Sauvignon Blanc Napa Valley

Honig does a wonderful job with all of their wines, but their Sauvignon Blanc to me is a home run and such a fantastic value. Fresh and crisp and great wine for the summer time.

One red wine under $20 and widely available in the US:

  • Catena Malbec, Mendoza Aregentina

Catena is one of the leaders of producing Malbec in Argentina and this wine is a fantastic value. Tons of rich dense fruit and tastes like a wine at double the price.

One splurge (whatever splurge might mean to you):

  • Shafer Hillside Select

Decisions, decisions! For the money you can’t go wrong with Hillside Select. This wine delivers 100% every time I have it. One of the top Cabernets in Napa year in and year out. A beautiful wine from Stags Leap.

Two others of your own choosing:

  • Cade Howell Mountain

I know, I know… I made it.  But out of all the wines we craft for PlumpJack and CADE, this wine holds a special place in my heart. The Howell Mountain appellation partnered with our winemaking team results in a truly unique wine worth the search.

  •  Bollinger Grand Annee

So many people think that Champagne is only for a special occasion, WRONG!!!!! The next time you are in a wine store grab a bottle of Champagne and bring it home and pop it, midweek dinner just got more exciting.
